There's new information about the Rifugio Auronzo toll road!

Hi Reader !

How are you doing this week? We went for a short trip to visit my parents in Latvia (and Emma had her first figure skating competition there - exciting!).

I'm just popping in to share some news from the Dolomites with you - at last, some more information has been released about the Rifugio Auronzo parking lot reservations!

So what's the deal with the bookings?

The reservation system will become active this summer - the summer of 2025. Sadly, the precise date is not known.

But there will be an interactive, updated in real-time calendar where you'll be able to reserve a specific time to go to the Tre Cime Parking lot.

For a reservation, you'll need an e-mail address and a phone number for contacts, which is normal. But a bit weird - you'll need to provide your car's number plate. Which is impossible if you're going to be renting a car, right?

Well, we'll see what the Comune di Auronzo will do about that.

πŸ‘‰ Read more about the new system!

Struggling with the accommodation prices?

I get you! The hotels in the Dolomites are crazy expensive!

That's why I dug through our previous stays, Google Maps, and multiple, MULTIPLE websites to find alternatives to the most expensive places to stay.

See that nice house right there? That's Aparthotel Kaserott in Val di Funes, one of the places that is mentioned in the article!

πŸ‘‰ Check all of them out right here!

Something useful to read

So, since the summer is coming very, very quickly, here is a list of articles to help you plan your trip.

Make sure not to wait too long - the accommodation is getting booked out fast!

Let me know if I can help you in any other way!

Cheers,
Kristine
